💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Meta really, really wants people to use its Llama AI model. Which is why they just debuted this new case study article on how different companies are using Llama across industries including education, video comms, research, and medicine. This case study might help you figure out how to make the best use of Llama or other AI models for your own business.

💡 Insight - Mathpresso, a South Korean education tech startup, and QANDA, a company offering personalized math learning content in 50 countries, created MathGPT using Llama 2. MathGPT is an LLM with powerful math capabilities that helps assess mathematical performance at primary and secondary school levels.

Zoom leveraged Llama 2 (alongside other unnamed AI models) to power its generative AI assistant, Zoom AI Companion. The AI tool can help users catch up on what happened in a meeting, synthesize Zoom Meetings, highlight next steps, and summarize unread messages in Zoom Team Chat.

Researchers at EPFL’s School of Computer and Communication Sciences and Yale School of Medicine used Llama 2 to compress medical information into an accessible interface now known as Meditron. The tech is designed to assist with clinical decision-making and diagnosis, and has been used by major humanitarian organizations like the Red Cross.
