💡 Insight - A major theme is that AI delivers the most value when it augments human marketers instead of replacing them. The best-performing teams use AI to automate repetitive tasks, accelerate ideation, analyze audience behavior, and optimize campaigns while humans handle strategy, creativity, and brand direction.
A few of the top examples:
Netflix uses AI to customize streaming experiences. AI algorithms and machine learning in their product help provide recommendations for TV shows and films based on a user’s previous watch history.
Nike combines AI with augmented reality to create the perfect fit. Through Nike Fit, customers can scan their feet using a smartphone and the tech uses visual data points to create a 3D model of their foot to get their exact shoe size.
Amazon’s Alexa uses automatic speech recognition (ASR). The voicebot listens to vocal commands, performs set actions, and replies to users in a natural speech pattern.
Salesloft uses chatbots to support lead generation. Salesloft’s Drift Bionic Chatbots deploy real-time personalized responses that integrate with CRMs to capture and manage lead data.
Shopify Magic uses AI designed for eCommerce. Magic will generate a product description for users within seconds based on details about the product, customer information, and keywords you want to rank for on search engines.
The article also emphasizes that AI adoption is becoming a competitive necessity. As more brands use AI to increase speed and efficiency, teams that fail to integrate it (alongside human oversight!) risk slower execution and reduced responsiveness to market changes.
