🗞 TL;DR - Are you sleeping on Pinterest ads? With 553 million users, it’s definitely an opportunity to take seriously. And it’s easy to start with the platform’s automated Performance+ campaigns which, like Meta’s Advantage+ campaigns, enables marketers to use AI to automate the entire ad process – and advertisers are seeing strong results.
💡 Insight - Here’s Pinterest’s own expert advice on how to maximize automated Performance+ ads:
Integrate both the Pinterest Conversions API and Pinterest Tag to ensure optimal signal matching & attribution, which feeds more data into the Performance+ system
Optimize your product feed with accurate and detailed metadata, keyword-optimized titles and descriptions, and complementary product groupings
Ensure your chosen objective matches your conversion volume to make sure the process is realistically aligned with your business direction and opportunities
Diversify ad types with at least 10 ads per Ad Group between Standard, Video, Carousel, Collections, and Idea ads
Layer different types of Performance+ elements to maximize your opportunities
Allow Performance+ to take time in its learning phase, which is generally two weeks and may require a higher budget to initially feed the system more data
Use the post-learning phase to experiment with different landing pages, ad formats, and Mobile Deep Linking setups to maximize results
