AI is a permanent part of the social landscape - Social network platforms are leading the charge with AI-driven releases, from Meta’s Llama AI to LinkedIn’s AI-generated article topic suggestions to Canva’s AI tools… you should be exploring AI tools on each platform and mastering them to stay competitive.

  2. Social marketing = performance marketing - Social media is no longer just a channel for brand engagement and awareness, it’s a revenue-driving performance channel. With tools like social listening and advanced social analytics, SMMs can now prove the ROI of their work and link social activity to real business impact.

  3. Trendjacking vs. trend detox - You should always remain up-to-date on current trends, but you don’t necessarily have to participate. Make sure your social strategy includes a framework for when you should hop on a trend, analyze trends thoroughly, and make sure to take a break from constant trendhopping.

  4. Brands are building community in the comments - It’s not a new strategy by any means, but brands have gotten more intentional with the “volume and velocity” of comments and the number of brands already commenting.
