Today’s Insight

📰 TL;DR - Valentine’s Day is only one week away, but it’s not too late to get your ad campaigns centered around love. Microsoft Advertising pulled together a guide on this year’s VDay trends and how you can make the most of them.

And it’s not too late! 38% of Valentine’s Day conversions will start with a click in February.

💡 Insight - Here are some of the leading trends within Valentine’s Day-related search this year:

  • Branded searches are trending up. This includes search queries for well-known flower shops and gifting stores.

  • Shoppers are looking for value. People are looking for budget-conscious terms, so include terms like “promo code” or “discount” in your ad copy.

  • People love shopping local. Include terms like city/state, near me, and local, or activate call and location extensions.

  • People need ideas. More people are using queries like ‘Valentine’s gift ideas’ or ‘gift ideas for him/her’.

  • Superlatives matter. Queries with terms like best, top-rated, perfect, or largest are up in January.
