Today’s Insight

📰 TL;DR - Small biz owner Jen Street discussed in Buffer how this past year has been challenging in the online ad space. The piece covers 3 key resources small businesses and eCommerce marketers can lean into to reach customers in spite of expensive social ads.

💡 Insight - Build deeper relationships with your customers. It might sound simple, but it needs strategic execution, or you might not achieve the full value of this action. Make the most of your email list by providing insightful resources. Provide your organic social following with behind-the-scenes content. Help your audience feel invested in the process.

Look for support from other business owners. If you’re struggling with high ad costs, chances are others in your community are struggling too. Lean into partnerships that make sense. Lift each other up, share your audiences. You don’t have to go it alone.

Watch your numbers and aim to be highly strategic with the ads you do run. At the end of the day, social ads are super powerful. But make sure you’re intentional with the ads you are running and pull back any that are just totally wasting money.
