The standout campaigns of April Fools’ 2025
🗞 TL;DR - Did you get fooled yesterday? You’re not alone, especially when it comes to getting tricked by brands. Adweek rounded up a list of this year’s best and cringiest brand pranks in the U.S., while The Drum collected all the foolish campaigns from the UK and Europe.
💡 Insight - This year’s clever April Fools’ Day campaigns included:
Bluesky limited its per-post character count from 300 to 299 in effort to push people to get to the point already
Playing off the world tour cruise that went viral on TikTok, Duolingo and Carnival collaborated on a (not real) 5-year world cruise
Olipop also leaned into collaborations with Hidden Valley Ranch to create a limited-edition “Ranch Lovers Pack” which includes soda flavors like the ranch brand’s popular products
Manufacturer Philips and UK appliance retailer Currys released a faux version of the world’s first fully automated chicken wing de-boning machine
Yahoo invented a keyboard (actually available for purchase on TikTok Shop) with the keys covered in grass, so us online folks can ‘touch grass’ whenever needed
