💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Came across this LinkedIn post by Webflow’s VP of Growth and it actually dropped some insights that more marketers need to hear. A simple experiment adding automated FAQ + schema markup across six Webflow feature pages led to a 24% lift in SEO impressions, 331 new AI citations, and 40% traffic growth. The update helped Webflow surface more often in both AI-generated and traditional search results which is exactly what all of us are trying to do.

💡 Insight - The tweak revealed more than just better SEO results and exposed how search behavior is shifting in the age of AI. Here’s what stood out from Webflow’s approach:

  1. Answer engines > keyword stuffing: AI and search engines increasingly favor structured, question-based content. Your users are most likely typing in a question, so format your content as an answer. That is also exactly what appears in the AI summaries we see.

  2. Data-driven FAQs scale fast: Webflow scraped “People Also Ask” results, Reddit, and forums to identify real user questions and generated product-specific responses in schema format for optimize (and anticipate) answers to the questions their community was already asking. Very two-birds-one-stone coded move!

  3. Automation unlocks iteration: The system analyzed existing FAQs, found gaps, and auto-generated new, high-intent answers, multiplying content refreshes 5× faster than manual workflows. That’s how you use AI correctly - move beyond generating content but identify gaps you might have missed or not considered because of your biases/exposure (which is normal!).

🔑 Takeaway - Don’t chase “AI SEO” gimmicks and instead build systems that mirror how people actually search. Audit your site for unstructured FAQs, feed real audience queries into automated workflows, and tag them with schema. The brands that win AI search aren’t louder, they’re simply clearer, more relevant, and better structured for discovery.
