Today’s Insight

📰 TL;DR - Sometimes, when you’re working in a creative field, you have days where you can’t come up with a new creative idea. Some say that most creators hit content burnout (aka the moment when you exhaust all your content ideas) within 7-10 years. So, what can we do to get out of it? SparkToro’s Amanda Natividad has some ideas.

💡 Insight - Answer the questions people typically ask you. What do people typically seek out you or your brand for? What questions do they want the answers to? Use this as a jumping-off point!

Talk to your customers. What things do they care about? Do you have customer interviews you can pull from? Sometimes thinking about internal research and insights can spur the idea for an external piece of content.

Examine what people in your niche are saying online. This can go two-fold: you can create content about the things people want to know about your industry (after looking at Reddit or Twitter/X results) or you can create content covering the antithesis of what people are talking about.

Conduct audience research. All of these ideas involve diving deeper into understanding your audience and what they want. Use external tools to learn more about what makes your audience tick, so you know what they want to see.
