💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - You probably rarely think about your Instagram bio – and that’s a mistake! While it’s a tiny part of your online presence, it’s often the first thing people see when they land on your profile. Research suggests you have seven seconds to make a first impression – make sure not to waste it.

💡 Insight - What does your bio include? Your display name (different from your username), a short description (up to 150 characters), pronouns (optional), up to five links, and contact info (email, phone number, links).

Here are the top 5 tips to maximize this space for your brand:

  1. Be clear about what you do. Anyone who stumbles on your profile should know right away what your account is about and if your content is relevant to them.

  2. Keep it short & sweet. Basically, don’t overcomplicate it with long phrases and emoji overload. Be brief yet captivating.

  3. Include relevant keywords. This not only makes it clear what your account offers but it also helps bolster your Instagram SEO.

  4. Use a link in bio tool. Tools like Later’s Link in Bio or Sprout Social’s SproutLink make it easy to convert IG viewers over to a more robust landing page.

  5. Show your brand’s personality! People connect with people, so don’t be afraid to let your uniqueness show – even if you’re a brand.
