💡 Insight - Here were the biggest announcements from Google Marketing Live 2026:

A new generation of AI-powered Search ads. The updated formats include: Conversational Discovery ads, Highlighted Answers, AI-powered Shopping Ads, and Business Agent for Leads, as well as an expansion of its Direct Offers pilot with AI-generated bundles, native checkout, and travel promotions integrated into AI-assisted Search experiences.

Ask Advisor launched across Ads, Analytics, and Merchant Center. The new Gemini-powered AI collaborator acts as a unified assistant to connect Google Ads, Analytics, Merchant Center, and Google Marketing Platform. Ask Advisor can help marketers build campaigns, analyze performance, surface recommendations, and automate operational tasks.

Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) and AI Shopping Experiences Expanded. The new capabilities include: AI-assistant checkout flows, buy-now-pay-later integrations with Klarna and Affirm, cross-retailer shopping experiences, and AI-powered travel and food ordering integrations.

Gemini-powered creative and video tools in Asset Studio. Advertisers can now use natural language prompts to generate images, video assets, text variations, and creative themes.

Expanded Demand Gen with creator tools, Maps inventory, and AI optimization. The updates include creator partnership tools, Google Maps inventory, dynamic product video distribution, AI-assisted campaign set up, and expanded measurement integrations.

Upgraded measurement with Meridian and predictive AI tools. The new measurement and forecasting capabilities for Google Analytics 360 integrate Meridian, its open-source marketing mix model, while introducing Qualified Future Conversions (QFCs), a new predictive reporting metric powered by Gemini.

Merchant Center is getting AI visibility and conversational commerce updates. The new tools include AI performance insights, conversational attributes, and Merchant Center integrations with Ask Advisor.
