  • Bing’s latest ad display test favors sponsored listings over organic

  • Here’s the secret to hiring tech SDRs or salespeople abroad

  • 📊 Stat of the Day: 82% of Google AI Overviews citations come from deep content pages - aka two or more clicks away from the homepage. (Source: BrightEdge)

  • 💡 Today’s Insight: Don’t sleep on YouTube Shorts

🌎 What are companies like Google, IBM, and RingCentral doing in South Africa?

If you’re hiring SDRs or salespeople in 2025 listen up. Some of the world’s biggest tech companies are outsourcing their cold calling and SDR teams to South Africa and it’s not hard to see why.

💡 Over 5 million people speak NATIVE English in the country and thousands of reps with experience selling in industries like tech, finance, marketing, and many others.

🤯 Average base salaries start at around $700/month with lots of reps making $2,000-$3,000. If you’re serious about building a sales team that can get results, I recommend Go Carpathian.

💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - It’s hard to be a new social feature that’s known as “YouTube’s version of TikTok.” While YouTube Shorts has similarities to the leading short-form video app, the platform has swiftly gained popularity and can stand on its own feet. New data insights from YouTube showcase why you should be taking YouTube Shorts seriously and integrating it into your social content strategy.

💡 Insight - According to data, 96% of surveyed Gen Zers in the US said they watch both short-form and long-form videos on YouTube. Young people in particular are drawn to YouTube as a major visual entertainment channel, so it’s a great place for brands looking to reach that target demographic.

And it’s only growing. Average daily views of YouTube Shorts grew by over 25% in the last year, suggesting that 2 billion YouTube users now watch Shorts content each month. These audiences are drawn to popular creators on the platform like MrBeast or Emma Chamberlain, which means influencer marketing is a key opportunity for brands on the platform.

In one influencer marketing campaign, L’Oreal USA saw a 3% increase in purchase intent and a 278% increase in Search Lift. By partnering with popular creators, brands are able to tap into each creator’s subscriber network with genuine, relatable messaging audiences are familiar with. Additionally, YouTube makes it easy to identify the right creators for each brand with their self-service tool Brand Connect, if you want to get started quick without hiring an extra agency.
