🖌️ ChatGPT can now use Adobe to edit your photos & PDFs for free. New apps for Photoshop, Acrobat, and Adobe Express launched yesterday directly in ChatGPT, allowing users to create designs or adjust photos and PDFs by describing what they want.

☑️ Reddit is testing verification badges. The new limited test of verified profiles places a grey checkmark beside the username of a notable person or business to help redditors understand who they’re engaging with.

🎥 YouTube is expanding Shorts ads options. The new options include comments on Shorts ads, enabling creators to link to a brand’s website within branded content, expanded Shorts ad placement options, and more.

🗞 TL;DR - Once you’ve found the magic of using AI in your work, the next unlock is making AI work even smarter for you. Marketing expert David Herrmann recently posted about how he uses Gemini’s Gems for hyper-specific AI use cases, and we’ve listed the summary below.
💡 Insight - In the X post, Herrmann uses the example that he has a Gemini Gem dedicated to reading Meta’s AI whitepapers to help him create stronger creative and better articulate his needs to clients and creative teams. Here’s how he does it:
Create descriptive instructions and input at the outset. Making sure you’re clear about what you want is the key to getting a successful output.
Provide recommendations to tune the Gem effectively. Herrmann says he always comes back with: stop iterating, start diversifying. Instead of 5 variations of the same product image, craft 5 materially different looking images so Meta’s “AI hooks” can tell the difference and know which direction to go in.
The more you understand what an AI hook is, the better your creative will be. AI hooks is the new “ad hooks” and Gems can help identify them faster than you might.
Make sure to continually add to your Gems. Take lessons from your clients, creative, and decks on how to adjust and dial-in more.
