💸 TV Advertising Without the Big Brand Budget

Small businesses know how to crush it on social, but are often nervous to make the jump to TV, thinking it’s too expensive, complicated, or “only for big brands.”

Leap Media Group makes TV advertising simple and affordable for SMBs doing $1M–$5M in revenue. They combine traditional TV + streaming to get your message in front of thousands of new customers. All without blowing your budget.

⚡️ Today’s Headlines ⚡️

🤷 X is rolling out a new “Boost” button on your posts. Users can pay a set amount of money to increase the post’s reach, and the more they pay, the more impressions it receives. But unlike the boost features within Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok, the prices are steep, and it’s not even an ad.

💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Not only are more consumers adding “Reddit” after their search inquiries to cut through AI-generated answers, but as one of today’s highlights suggests, Reddit’s content may soon be prominently displayed across Google’s AI products.

It’s already the second-most visited website in the U.S., which is largely based on AI chatbot referrals. While this is positive news for the everyday user, it’s a yellow flag for marketers. This could signal a shift in visibility for brands and SEO efforts.

💡 Insight - If you aren’t already, you should be adding Reddit to your digital marketing efforts. And while it’s notoriously a tougher platform to navigate, there are several best practices for marketing teams to help build an effective campaign:

  1. Start by reviewing Reddit’s brand playbook.

It’s packed with tips and insights on gaining organic engagement as a business on the platform, which is key for Reddit. The #1 one thing users hate is brands infiltrating the app with ads and content that doesn’t solely serve the community.

  2. Take advantage of Reddit’s Pro Trends tool.
It’s an incredibly useful resource that highlights everything that’s trending on the app at any given time, and allows you to pinpoint specific topics and conversations. This helps you establish a presence, and sets the scene on how to engage with relevant subreddits.

  3. Know the rules.

The biggest risk you can experience is getting banned. Getting banned off your subreddit means you’ll have to rebrand with a new account and start from scratch. The best way to avoid this is by providing value in your content.

  4. Create a detailed content plan.
You need at least 15 pieces of content that interlinks together. It’s a holistic-type strategy where each post references another and slowly builds to create the bigger picture. Slowly rolling each task or pain point out one-by-one creates user trust, making them more inclined to buy.

  5. Engage the community.

It’s recommended that brands spend three hours a day helping others solve their problems by commenting. To start this process, go through Reddit’s communities that align with your brand. Are they asking questions in a way that can make your product the solution?
