💡 Today’s Insight 💡

🗞 TL;DR - Apple introduced Siri AI at the latest WWDC event, a new version of the voice assistant rebuilt on the next generation of Apple Intelligence using Google’s Gemini models. Siri can now pull up-to-date information from the web and generate answers on virtually any topic, which brings SEO pros to wonder: how will this impact search visibility. Search Engine Land outlined the details, and we’ve got the highlights for you below.

💡 Insight - Apple’s new AI-powered Siri may be one of the biggest search-distribution shifts since Google launched AI Overviews. Siri can now pull real-time information from the web to answer questions conversationally, which puts an AI answer engine directly into the default search experience for millions of Apple users.

The biggest concern for marketers: Apple has not explained how websites will be credited, cited, or measured when Siri uses their content. Apple says AI-generated answers may include source links, but there is currently no equivalent to Google Search Console for Siri visibility.

Search Engine Land argues that Siri creates a new answer layer between brands and customers. Instead of searching Google and clicking a website, users may increasingly get answers directly from Siri, reducing opportunities for traditional organic traffic.

Another important development is Visual Intelligence, which allows users to point their camera at products, stores, menus, or objects and ask questions without ever performing a traditional search. This could significantly impact eCommerce, local businesses, and product discovery.

The key takeaway: there is currently no proven “Siri optimization” playbook. However, Apple has made it clear that content must be crawlable, structured, and accessible to Applebot if brands want a chance to appear in AI-generated answers.
