Today’s Insight

📰 TL;DR - Now that the holiday eCommerce boom is pretty much behind us, many brands might find themselves rampant with customer returns. While returns are sometimes impossible to avoid, there are some proactive systems you can put in place to avoid this in the future.

💡 Insight - Consider extending your returns policy. This one seems counterintuitive but giving consumers more freedom of a product returns window makes them more eager to keep the product.

Make sure your returns policy is straightforward and easy-to-understand. This prevents customers from abusing your policy and makes them confident when they know they can return items that don’t work for them.

Improve your virtual shopping experience. Check that your product descriptions and visuals are top-notch in lieu of consumers being able to try them out and feel them before purchasing.

Invest in quality customer service. Being able to reach a live chat or responsive email support easily can help consumers resolve uncertainties and avoid returns. Shopify helps integrate this easily for vendors!
