📈 Turn Your UGC Side Project Into a Scalable System
In-house and agency teams are great at media, but often fall short when it comes to creator sourcing and UGC ops. And before you know it, growth marketers end up project-managing creators instead of driving strategy.
Grapevine = high-performing UGC + landing pages for DTC brands spending big on Meta. It’s authentic content that actually converts, from real creators. Oh, and did we mention it’s a white-glove service? They do all the heavy-lifting while proactively driving your success.

💡 Today’s Insight 💡
🗞 TL;DR - If there’s anything we’ve learned by 2026, it’s that not every brand is going to be able to jump on every internet trend. That includes using certain phrases and slang. Before you make a tone-deaf move this year, check out what Sprout Social has to say about using internet slang appropriately for your brand and knowing when to let a moment pass by.
💡 Insight - As Sprout mentions, “Social media speeds up the rate of language evolution, changing the meaning of words and introducing new vocabulary overnight.” In recent years, dictionaries across the globe have chosen internet-savvy terms for their “word of the year” including “rizz” in 2023 alongside “aura” and “6-7” for 2025.
Why do so many marketers gravitate towards social media slang? Well, it’s basically FOMO. Everyone wants their brand to feel relevant and join in popular conversations, that using certain terms and words can feel like an easy entry point. But what many fail to remember is that using these terms cheaply or carelessly can trigger one of the internet’s least favorite term: cringe.
Instead, Sprout’s GM of Listening says, “Before deciding to use a slang word, marketers need to understand their brand and audience really well… if your brand doesn’t have that established identity and it doesn’t make sense for your industry, you risk alienating your audience or receiving backlash.”
Here’s what you should consider before you jump into any cultural conversation or use trendy words:
Investigate what slang your audience users and cares about
Understand the cultural context of the slang you’re thinking of using
Tip-toe into internet slang through influencer collaborations vs posting on your own brand account
Double check the timeliness of your terms and, often, act fast
