🗞 TL;DR - With LLMs quickly replacing traditional search engines, brands need to start looking for ways to gain visibility in platforms like ChatGPT. Two of the primary ways to achieve this is to get your brand mentioned in context-rich content, and publishing in-depth content about your business.
Here’s how you can achieve both 👇
💡 Insight - How to get your brand mentioned in context-rich content: Encourage people to mention your brand organically in high-quality, topic-relevant content like blog posts, news articles, and Reddit threads. LLMs like to cite this content when answering questions using live web results. And much like Google, the more often your brand is mentioned, the more likely it is to be recognized by AI.
You can build these kind of mentions by writing guest posts for industry websites, contributing to online conversations in your niche, or launching newsworthy campaigns.
Also, be aware of where you get mentioned. If articles like “Top Ten” roundups is already being cited by an LLM, getting featured there could directly increase your AI visibility.
Publishing in-depth content about your business: It’s important to create original content that provides LLMs with rich context about what your brand does and why it matters. The more detail you provide (and the more specific it is), it helps AI connect your brand with the kinds of real-world questions that people ask.
Consider detailed pages that explain product features, outline use cases, or compare offerings for different customer segments. They all help LLMs better understand your business.
