1 - LinkedIn Is Having A Moment Right Now

📰 TL;DR - If you own Microsoft stock, work at LinkedIn, or have lots of job openings at your company right now, you would be happy to know that LinkedIn is seeing "record engagement" amongst its 875 million users due to the mass amount of layoffs across all industries. Newly laid-off employees are turning to LinkedIn to find new jobs, creating content hoping to stand out to potential hires, and consuming more business-related content to prepare them for potential interviews.

💡 Insight - We translate "record engagement" into more eyeballs on the LinkedIn newsfeed which translates to a huge opportunity to have more eyeballs and engagement on your LinkedIn content. 2 - Apple Finally Introduces "Business Connect"

📰 TL;DR - Businesses around the globe have been able to update their info across all Google products in one place for more than a decade while Apple's process to update your company's details has been fragmented forever. That changed last week when apple introduced their version of a "Google Business Listing" called 'Business Connect" - which lets you manage all information directly in the interactive Apple Maps card from photos to videos, logos, and menus.

💡 Insight - Although significantly more people use Google Maps than Apple Maps (and related Apple services), it might be worth an hour of your time to set up your business' "Business Connect" profile, especially if you are in brick and mortar!Read the whole article here...

3 - It's Never Too Late For Social Trends Right?

📰 TL;DR - One of the largest social media scheduling tools used data and interviews to predict some social media trends for 2023. Later .com's blog post walked through 10 but these are our favorite / most impactful 3:

  1. Less Copy & Paste Trends - We call this lazy marketing... people to start to see through accounts that most just use a popular memes or trending songs on Tik Tok or IG Reels. Get clever!

  2. YouTube Shorts Takes Off - According to ADWEEK, data shows YouTube shorts now gets more than 30b views a day. With upcoming monetization incentives and data analytics features being added regularly, we are super bullish on YT Shorts!

  3. Pay Transparency Between Brands & Creators - Apps like "Clara for Creators" & Collab Scale or going to rise in popularity bringing more clarity and transparency to these types of partnerships

4 - Instagram Testing Collaborative Collections

📰 TL;DR - Collections is already one of our favorite parts of Instagram! The ability to organize bookmarks into different folders is awesome and something Twitter now charges for... So making the experience collaborative will certainly lead to more time on the app.

💡 Insight - This could be an interesting way to connect with your target audience on IG! Basically create a shared mood board or curated "things to buy" collection for your whole audience to engage with :)
