🗞 TL;DR - B2B marketing community Exit Five just polled 100 CMOs at companies with $50M-$500M ARR on what their top marketing challenges are right now. Exit Five’s Founder Dave Gerhardt published the top takeaways on his LinkedIn and we’ve listed them for you below.
💡 Insight - Here are the top challenges for CMOs right now:
AI. 85% of leaders said AI adoption is their #1 priority for 2026. Many need practical use cases and quick wins, want to use AI to scale efficiently, and are under pressure to demonstrate ROI from AI adoption.
Growing less, spending less, and providing marketing did it. The framing for revenue growth has evolved beyond “drive more MQLs” and now focuses on pipeline quality over volume with a marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline.
