🗞 TL;DR - Always good to get tips straight from the source. Meta recently partnered with AppsFlyer and Dentus to analyze winning ad creative elements in app promotions and how brands are utilizing new gen AI features to maximize ad performance.
💡 Insight - Here are the top takeaways from the report:
Advertisers should begin with “core creative building blocks.” When using the following foundational elements, internal research suggests campaigns see a 16% lower CPA on average, a 29% higher conversion rate, and 11% greater reach across Reels, Feed, and Stories:
Create video ads in 9:16 (with audio)
Lean on emotional storytelling (incorporate emotional hooks within the first few seconds)
Include a human presence
Add text overlays to maximize messaging impact
Meta also says that campaigns that utilize a diverse set of creatives across formats and messaging types see up to a 32% improvement in CPA and a 9% increase in incremental reach.
Lastly, Meta found that ad campaigns using AI-generated images saw an 11% higher CTR and a 7.6% higher conversion rate compared to those that didn’t.

🤑 X is changing its API pricing to a revenue share model. The announcement came recently to paid subscribers of its Enterprise API plans, which start at $42k/mo. The new API pricing is scheduled to go into effect on July 1 but X hasn’t shared final details, such as what percentage the revenue share model will be.
