Today’s Insight

📰 TL;DR - We’re moving closer and closer to the death of third-party cookies in Chrome, but many marketers are looking towards in-game advertising companies to survive the cookiepocalypse.

💡 Insight - In-game ad companies have a massive amount of user data generated by these gaming environments. Think about it: every person who watches or attends a sports game provides a multitude of data points whenever they interact with a game.

Within that data-rich environment, tech companies are providing clear segmentations on the data points, allowing advertisers to find diverse and interesting profiles on each consumer.

As the article states, “In a gaming environment, almost every action a user takes generates data, from the specific in-game decisions they make to the amount of time they dwell in any particular area, without ever having to rely on technology like third-party cookies.”
